Sneha Kinetic Power Projects Pvt. Ltd. (SKPPPL) is a special purpose vehicle is implemented to taken up Dikchu Hydro Electric Power Project 96 MW (3X32 MW). The run-of-river project is located across Dikchu river, a tributary of Teesta river at Dikchu village about 3 km upstream of the proposed dam of the on-going Teesta Stage-V hydroelectric project.
SKPPPL has been issued a Letter of Intent vide no. SPDC/229/2003-04/141 dated 03-09-2004 for the development of Dikchu Hydro Power Project on a Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis by Sikkim Power Development Corporation (SPDC), a Government of Sikkim enterprise. Subsequently, SKPPPL has entered into an MOU with Sikkim Government for the implementation of the project.
